Scope: Concept Design

The project is occupying a part of the most valuable property in Mongolia where is located next to the state circus, one of the greatest landmark of Ulaanbaatar city.

Rising from the L shape land is building 17 storey and 1 basement floor that consisting of 149 apartment units and all the following amenities as parking, gym, spa, … For reducing impact of the cold climate, big loggias and double layer skin are proposed with sliding glazing system that can be controlled opening in the summer and closing in winter. The most valuable project side is the west that is to take the full advantage for located apartment units as much as possible. 400mm wall thickness finished by Terracotta cladding is also make the building looked warmer.

The volumetric shape of building is designed with combination of contrasting figure, solid and hollow, material using terracotta and concrete to create a more attractive, playful and breakdown building mass.
